Madison McClune is a sophomore at the University of Michigan studying Cell and Molecular Biology. She is concurrently pursuing two minors; one from the Ross School of Business and the other in Gender and Health Studies. She attended Notre Dame Preparatory, a progressive Catholic school in Pontiac, Michigan prior to college. She graduated with honors. She set and achieved very high standards & goals for herself during high school. She was editor of three award-winning yearbooks, a four-year varsity golf player and a major contributor at golf state finals, a softball player, and a two-year softball captain. She was also the president/founder of her school’s Pre-Med Club. She graduated in 2017 with highest academic honors and was awarded “Academic Athlete of the Year.”
Madison currently enjoys playing on the club softball team, attending FemDem meetings, and tutoring peers in college. She is an outgoing individual who attempts to participate in new and exciting activities every day. She plans to graduate from the University of Michigan in April 2021 and attend medical school in an effort to fulfill her dream of becoming a pediatrician or a surgeon. She is aware her journey will take time but knows the support of her friends and family will help her achieve her dreams.
