The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports today on a Minneapolis police officer charged with domestic assault and felony domestic assault strangulation. The officer has been on the force since 2008 and was living in Anoka County when he was charged with an Anoka County domestic assault based on a report from his wife that she had been struck with the butt of a gun and strangled. While the truth of these allegations has yet to be determined, allegations of domestic assault are known to be on the rise. If you are accused of domestic assault, you may be thrown out of your house, you may lose your job, and you may lose your right to bear arms, among other possible penalties for domestic assault.
You need a criminal defense attorney to protect you against false allegations and/or unduly harsh punishment for domestic assault crimes. If you or someone you know has been charged with violating an Order for Protection or a Harassment Restraining Order, or domestic assault, or felony domestic assault, call 1-866-929-7597 or go to Keller Law Offices now for help.
