Lee Sexton

Lee Sexton is Of Counsel with Keller Law, where he focuses his practice on the early stages of criminal defense. His work is grounded in a commitment to justice, the protection of individual rights, and the belief that the power of the state must always be tested, scrutinized, and held to account.

Born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Lee earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He was admitted to practice law in Minnesota in 2024 and lives in St. Paul.

Lee’s commitment to criminal defense is rooted in the principle that constitutional rights matter most when a person’s freedom, reputation, family, and future are on the line. He has assisted in post-conviction work involving Brian Pippitt, whose case marked the first time Minnesota’s Conviction Review Unit recommended full exoneration of an incarcerated person.

At Keller Law, Lee approaches criminal defense with a firm belief that every person accused of a crime deserves a meaningful defense, a careful examination of the evidence, and an advocate willing to challenge the government at every stage of the case. He is committed to protecting his clients’ rights, ensuring they are treated fairly by the system, and pursuing the best possible outcome in every case.
